Anne Holbrook Interior Design is a design studio built on curiosity, a strong point of view and the belief that nobody has a monopoly on good ideas.
We look closely at people, place, architecture, culture and constraints before making big moves because the interesting answer is rarely the automatic one.

Before deciding what a space should look like, we want to understand what is actually happening there.
How do people move through it? Where does everyone end up at the end of the day? What does the architecture already do well? What is getting in the way? What deserves to stay? What assumption might be worth questioning?
The answers shape the design.
Function comes first in the process, not because beauty matters less but because the best spaces achieve both.

Anne Holbrook founded AHID with a belief that good design requires both conviction and curiosity.
Her work moves between the architectural and the human: proportion and circulation, materials and construction, but also how people gather, cook, work, host, retreat and move through everyday life.
Anne leads the creative direction of every AHID project while working closely with the architects, builders, trades, fabricators and craftspeople whose expertise makes the work better. She comes to the table with a recommendation and a reason for it and remains willing to change course when someone has a better idea.
